Senior Marketing communications / Marketing Communications officer (2-year contract, renewable)
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute communications and marketing strategies to promote Agency's fundraising and program projects to drive attendance, participate and support.
- Conduct market research to identify target audiences, key messaging, and optimal marketing channels for each event.
- Collaborate and engage with the events team and key stakeholders to align marketing efforts with event objectives and themes from planning to execution and production.
- Develop compelling event messaging and content for various channels. Work with internal and external parties in creating visually appealing and engaging promotional materials and manage media planning and PR on media exposure and coverage.
- Responsible for marketing communications tasks and is required to render logistical support for media and communications work of the Unit.
- Establish and maintain relationships with press media, key influencers, and potential event attendees to expand the event's reach and impact.
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to promote events across various online platforms. Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
- Cross team support on additional tasks and assignments as reasonably requested by the direct supervisor.
Requirements:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism with at least 7-8 years' relevant working experience in marketing, advertising or event management.
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Marketing Communications Officer.
- Solid experience in planning and managing communications and public engagement events, including both online and offline engagement.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute effective marketing plans.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
- Creative with good interpersonal and project management skills. Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese and with the ability to create compelling content.
- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and Chinese word processing.
- Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
